Platy-gaga

What mammal lays eggs, duck- billed, have the otters' feet, beaver tailed, and are poisonous?

The platypus is one of the few mammals with poison. People (including me) probably can't name even three poisonous mammal on the earth. The male platypus having a spur on the hind foot that delivers a venom capable of causing severe pain to humans. Their characteristics are so weird that many naturalists thought it was a fraught the first time they encountered it.

Even though both gender are born with ankle spurs,  only the male have a cocktail of venom

The platypus is semi-aquatic, inhabiting small streams and rivers over an extensive range from the cold highlands of Tasmania and the Australian Alps to the tropical rainforests of coastal Queensland as far north as the base of the Cape York Peninsula.
