Paganini

Niccolò Paganini (27 October 1782 – 27 May 1840) was an Italian violinist, violist, guitarist, and composer. He was one of the most celebrated violin virtuosi of his time,

Paganini was so good at the violin, it's said that he could play it behind his back, while being upside down and blindfolded. While I can barely get the right tune with the violin on my chin, body upright, and eyes staring at my violin without blinking =(

Anyway, this kind of reputation didn't come without a price. Because of his talent, he was rumored (until today) to have made a pact with the devil to grant him unbelievable talent at that time. Because of this, when he died, his body was actually denied form the Catholic burial in Genoa O.o (didn't see that coming, did you?) It took four years, and an appeal to the Pope, before the body was allowed to be transported to Genoa, but was still not buried. His remains were finally put to rest in 1876 in a cemetery in Parma.

Despite those solemn truth, today, he is a respected violinist and composer with illogically hard sheet musics which put a lot of violinist to despair.*sob*

Some of his famous works are the "Paganini Caprices op.1 No.24"
